You know, looking back getting banned for saying "fuck trump and Obama" was a blessing in disguise. I still miss my cheap knockoff watch sub though :(

You got a permaban for saying fuck the president and obama? I said that all the time on there, the democratic cheerleaders get on my case but I've reason on my side, obama was a failure, biden was a failure, not fit for the moment, although at least obama could work a crowd biden was just embarrassing.

How many other violations had you gotten on that account before then? I always drop them after the 2nd one to prevent getting a permaban, but then quit for quite a while, first time a year and a half before I overcame my spite about being violated dishonestly for what I suspect was Israel related in fact but seized on unrelated posts not even against the rules.

Huh. There should be clear rules to these subs, and an appeal process that ends in a jury trial of users. If the fediverse is ever going to reach critical mass it needs to be better than those silicon valley parasites that unfairly moderate for powerful interests like the government in dishonest ways.

Lemmy, and Reddit, are run by people… who have opinions, egos, the deep desire to control what you say and do, smug-cunt-attitudes, and hot tempers. Whatever they DONT LIKE goes. And if their friends break the rules, that’s totally fine.
