It is so tragic how misinformation spreads.
A single init system (of the multiple that exist) enabled the option for an age check to be implemented to said init system, which is then still left at the discretion of each individual distro to either enable or keep disabled. So far only corporate distros seem interested, or at least ambivalent, in enabling said feature. Most other distros don’t have it enabled nor are planning to, and US law cannot touch them since many distros are HQ’ed out of the US.
Despite this, we are already seeing comments such as this one. Very sad.
