Never even bought one. I couldn’t find anything compelling enough this generation to buy one and that decision has paid off.
Yeah. I was a fan of PS exclusive games. Horizon, GOW, Ghost of Tsushima, etc., but no game is so good that I'm willing to put up with their bullshit. Its time to drop Sony for me.
The last console I bought was a PS3. I only bought it because it was one of the cheapest bluray players at the time. The games were way too expensive. Now I only play PC games and I wait a few years and buy them when they are on sale and have hopefully had all of the major bugs fixed.
Gaming then: Three decent games a year
Gaming now: One decent game every three years.
Big budget exclusives sure, plenty of good games to play every year, and many "old" games get updates every year keeping them fresh, you would only buy expansions back then, while a 6/10 game 5 years after release can become a 8-9/10
Your comment does apply to Sony exclusives tho
It was aimed at AAA and AA.
Indie, as always, is doing just fine. But nobody needs a PS5 to play Slay the Spire 2.
