What do the giant mechs do besides stand around lookin' cool? Does it also add enemy attacks on your outposts? If that was part of the vanilla game, I never had it happen.
I had enemy attacks on my base vanilla
I had wondered if I hadn't immediately done the pirate/police quest line as the first major thing I did (and I choose to destroy the pirates) if I would have had pirates attacking me at random. Really the only time anything set off defenses around any of my bases was when I was at them and a random critter wandered too close (and only on planets with wildlife; all the dead moons and such didn't have shit). Never had anything like Fallout 4's settlement attacks, that notify you when you're not there and such.
