Anything but obvious cash grabs and uninspired spinoffs like the emoji movie.

Even stuff like The Room are WAY better even from a creative process standpoint. That thing is an adventure. The emoji movie is just a soulless product.

As someone who did watch the Meg because someone else wanted to watch it, I'd say please don't. You lose a lot more by going to watch it than you do by not watching it.

Were they cash grabs or safe bets? There is definitely a gray zone for "safe bets" where the creatives actually do a decent job. Lazy trash from execs, but if the creatives manage to deliver it can still achieve "not a waste of time".
