Last week, new footage of Marvel's upcoming 'Captain America: Brave New World' appeared online. The film is due to be released in 2025 but the allegedly leaked material, posted in an Instagram story by a well-known 'scooper', clearly has Disney and Marvel concerned. Through a DMCA subpoena, the movie companies aim to find out who's behind the social media account.

Going after the one person still interested in Marvel content? Bold move, Disney; we'll see how it pans out.

I know the movies have been in a slump, but X-Men '97 has been like a 9.5/10

I've heard great things, and I've been watching the original run of the X-Men animated series in preparation for watching '97.

Animation tends to get me more hyped than anything else. They always do crazy shit in cartoons that they never really try to do in live action. I've been a big fan of all the DC animated stuff since forever, and Marvel is getting back into the game with a really strong entry with '97.

Don't get your hopes up for good animation at the end of the animated series. It gets real bad before the end.

But X-Men '97 is everything I could have hoped for it to be!

Agreed. It's also worth noting that '97 is basically an uncensored version of the OG, so like in the old show Wolverine never gets to knife anyone who bleeds with his claws. In '97 he can

Hey, some of us have enjoyed the whole thing. Some less than others, but it’s been fun.

When they start getting lawyers involved. That's how you know when it genuinely leaked, and wasn't part of the publicity plan.

Aint no way someone that does torrenting stuff, doesnt have decent enough opsec to prevent instagram from being able to gather useful data on them.

I have come accross what many would consider big time online drug dealers who have little to no opsec... so you may be surprised. People are openly advertising meth on discord ffs.

[–] TheGalacticVoid@lemm.ee 4 points 6 months ago

The difference between pirates and drug dealers is that the former tends to need some level of tech literacy.

[–] unexposedhazard@discuss.tchncs.de 2 points 6 months ago (1 children)

I mean you can use discord in a browser on TailsOS through Tor, but yeah maybe they use their own drugs or they are just not so bright in the head to begin with.

Meth dealers are probably the highest violators of the 4th crack commandment.

My younger sister has (in the past, quite a while ago, but still) gotten me a cease and desist during a visit and torrenting without a VPN, so I wouldn't say no way.
