"Keep it up, you're an example for everyone, for all the countries that maybe, and this might sound funny, (where) these families prefer to have a cat or a little dog instead of a child," he added, turning to Widodo with a chuckle.

You’re being weird af and you’re completely out of fucking touch, old man, much like a couchfucker over here I happen to know of.

We have 3 cats, and unintentionally, they are all long haired cats. They were the ones that picked us, and we weren't about to tell them they were wrong and adopt a different cat because of their hair length.

Has he been hanging out with JD Vance?

Theres a common excuse for the Pope's absurdity that "he is making a calculated effort to piss off literally everyone."

Evangelicals like Vance hate him.

probably would have gotten himself excommunicated like that archbishop did, if only he could get off the damn couch.

Fewer kids means the nuns are gonna be in bigger danger from the priests.

Could that because when people fuck there is zero chance they wind up making a cat?

This guy is completely out of touch. The last thing the world and especially Indonesia needs is even more people. No matter where you go there are more employees than customers. You can imagine what the wages are like. The traffic is absolutely nuts and schools are packed. They are great and very nice people and they would be all better off if there were fewer of them.

I heard the dogs are lodging an appeal on grounds of discrimination

He's still the pope, of course he'd say this. However, the majority of Indonesians are Muslims. As if the opinion of a Catholic leader would matter much.

No, jackass. People that can barely afford their pets often(not enough) realize they can't afford kids. Getting rid of the pets doesn't make having kids affordable. Its also a lot easier to figure out who gets the pets when relationships sour.

There's just so many reasons almost no one is "choosing" pets over kids.
