Nope. Just me.
Even when Street Pass existed on DS, a system that sold some absurd amount like 160 million units, I never once got a street pass interaction.
And now you think a realworld implementation of street pass for Lemmy, a service with 60k users, is going to be anything besides you wondering where everyone is???
I carried a ds through the extent of highschool that it existed for, and 2 3ds's through post secondary. those things were loaded every day with a line up of little people waiting to say hi I'm so and so and some little catch phrase.
Fediverse streetpass would go craaaaazy
Thanks for the reminder, there's a fake-it-till-you-make-it already, as a Firefox extension.
There's the pretendo network, which continues support for the 3ds. Haven't used it myself, but I think the miiverse network is also supported by them.
So at least you can still use miiverse to some extent, though probably with way fewer people.
For anyone not familiar with the Miiverse, what's attractive about it over existing clients?
Being able to open a thread and pick up OP's avatar off the ground and watch his little legs kick.
Likes/upvotes are “Yeah!”s and there are miis associated with each post
