Plot Twist: Random noise is a stray cat breaking in, that is about to claim Anon

Twistier: The noises were never his cat and their house has been haunted the entire time. Or, maybe a squatter that just knows how to hide really well...

Edit: my writing is horrible when I'm waking up

Like a certain Parasite living in the unknown saferoom just behind the plum wine shelf

The squatter also died last October.

Anon should get a new one. Plenty of animals in need of a good home

We don't know why the cat died.

If Anon hurt a cat 4chan would find him and kill him.

You can't hurt the pussy?

I had a family member die almost 3 years ago. It doesn't feel like they are dead. It just feels like I haven't talked to them in a couple weeks.

We made it less than two weeks without a new dog; the silence around the house was what did it. We were so lucky to have found our latest sweetheart at the humane society. She loves everyone, is as smart as I’ve ever known a dog to be, and is so easy around people. Sometimes good things can come from bad ones.

Post bereavement hallucinations are a thing.

Sorry anon.

What's that green text of some dude hearing noises in his house and shouting "you better not make me come over there and sew your ass shut with this knitting needle!" ?

My boy cat died five years ago. I still sometimes wake up in the morning to find myself petting a lump of blanket that is the same size as he was. My girl cat died last summer and when I plop down in my recliner I still leave room on the footrest for her to jump up. I can't bring myself to get another cat yet, although I hope for the sake of other cats that I can eventually do it.
