Don’t bother quoting a hypocrite. They don’t care and their supporters don’t either.

[–] SturgiesYrFase@lemmy.ml 25 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Nah, what he means by "traditional family values" is the women folk stay indoors, keep the house, pump out kids til they're a dead shriveled husk, the men get to do whatever they want, sleep around whatever. And if they feel like the wife or kids are talking back they beat the everliving fuck out of em, and that's fine because the wife and kids shouldn't have been talking back to the man of the house....

He's not a hypocrite, he just doesn't mean the same thing you think he is with the words he's using.

Also, toddlers make for amazing meat shields. Nobody can deny that. What sort of monster would shoot you in the head when there’s a toddler protecting it? That’s just simple logic.

Hmmmm.....I'd never thought of that.....but goddamnit you're right! Guess I'll be telling the wife we need to pump a few out!

[–] Pilferjinx@lemmy.world 9 points 5 months ago

It's from a Joe Rogan interview.

[–] apotheotic@beehaw.org 4 points 5 months ago

Joe rogan musk

[–] anarchoilluminati@hexbear.net 4 points 5 months ago

It's from a pretty well-known episode of Joe Rogan's podcast where Elon got high.

[–] HawlSera@lemm.ee 6 points 5 months ago

He's referring to the fact that his wife was allowed to leave him alive.

[–] smitten@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 5 months ago

His smile is upside down

"Will you stop referring your daughter with 'he'?"

Do not let the mods seize the memes of production

[–] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world 2 points 5 months ago (1 children)

You're going to implement a "No Elon Memes" rule. We're going to get some of the dankest memes you've ever seen in your life featuring Elon. And then...

[–] dessalines@lemmy.ml 2 points 5 months ago (1 children)

I'm just personally against musk spam because it's giving him exactly what he wants, attention.

If we as a society could all collectively ignore him and his grifts, then in a few years ppl will go, "oh yeah I remember that guy, thank goodness we don't have to see his face anymore".

[–] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world 4 points 5 months ago

it’s giving him exactly what he wants, attention.

He seems to want worship more than simply wanting attention.

all collectively ignore him

I don't think Elon is a problem you can solve by shoving fingers in ears and squeezing your eyes shut.

Most of his Carney Act is pointed at your Congressmen, not you personally. And they're happy to use him as a tool for money laundering, whether you look at him or not.
