given that the word 'pants ' sounds like a plural, perhaps we can assume each leg is an independent entity and deserves its own pair of pants. i chose left.

Who are you, who is so wise in the ways of science?

[–] IndiBrony@lemmy.world 21 points 10 months ago (1 children)

"Yes, Sir. I would like to buy one pant!"

[–] ImplyingImplications@lemmy.ca 8 points 10 months ago

This is how you say it in French. "Un Pantalon"

[–] moistclump@lemmy.world 7 points 10 months ago

But we have “legs” and give each leg a pant. Therefore wouldn’t each pant also just have one pant?

[–] hperrin@lemmy.world 33 points 10 months ago (2 children)

Pants have the same number of legs as people. This joke is getting absurd.

It's a type of humour I suppose, I like absurd humour that makes fun of the concept

[–] RagingRobot@lemmy.world 3 points 10 months ago

So you're saying the one in the right then?

Let’s use geometric progression to find how many rows we can create with a set of 200 pants!

Okay, which one of you wears pants on each leg?

[–] veroxii@aussie.zone 10 points 10 months ago

Asked my 10 year old. Definitely the right hand side. "Because on the left the pants are now shorts."

[–] ReverendIrreverence@lemmy.ml 10 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Like on the right. Left side is wasteful and floppy

[–] Dave@lemmy.nz 6 points 10 months ago (1 children)

I mean, the humans think it's cool to take perfectly good pants, tear holes in them until there are hardly any pants, and wear them like that. Maybe pants are even cooler?

[–] dimeslime@lemmy.ca 2 points 10 months ago

Do pants feel pain?

[–] ForestOrca@kbin.social 9 points 10 months ago

Eschew bifurcated clothing!!

Did the pants on the left split its legs down the middle?

[–] TehBamski@lemmy.world 6 points 10 months ago

The right side makes the most sense to me.

[–] EvolvedTurtle@lemmy.world 4 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Right Because the left would get significantly more difficult once you start adding more pants

[–] eltimablo@kbin.social 0 points 10 months ago

If a pants's pants wore pants, what would it look like?

[–] son_named_bort@lemmy.world 3 points 10 months ago

I'm pretty sure the right is how people wear pants in the winter.
