Posts must be:

  1. Links to news stories from...

I was going to ask for someone to explain this for a non American that doesn't understand a word of it, but I think I'd rather remain ignorant tbh.

[–] chaogomu@kbin.social 14 points 9 months ago

I'm American, I know what all the words mean, but they make no sense when put in that order.

Absolutamente the best course of action

American here. I’m sorry to report that 2024 is just a bad year to be literate on earth. The headline sounds batshit insane to me, and yet I can 100% hear some conservative family or acquaintance say it with zero joking or sarcasm.

I'm just waiting for it all to devolve into a kind of nonsense where they all go crazy and do a suicide pact or some shit like the Heavens Gate cult. It can't be far behind with the delusions they spit out day after day.

To be honest, I do not mind the Super Bowl getting ruined for these miserably ignorant and miserable knuckle-draggers.

In the national divorce... I never thought liberals would get football

Is there a limit to right-wingers idiocity somewhere? I mean, there must be a point where some fellows pull a person back and tell "What you just said makes absolutely no sense!"

If Biden, who is from Delaware, were able to rig a Super Bowl, he would have the Baltimore Ravens, which are significantly closer to Delaware and undoubtedly have lots of fans there, in the big game instead of the Kansas City Chefs, who are much farther away from Delaware.

I'm sure there will be a convenient excuse lined up if the Chiefs don't win.

You know a conspiracy theory is psychotic when it presumes a massive multi-billion dollar corporation would manipulate consumers into supporting their left-wing agenda.

They're obviously doing it for the money.

Maybe tell the right wingers that inhaling oxygen is socialism and supported by Biden and the Democrats.

That could solve all of our problems.

It certainly smells like a ploy to get more women to watch football, but that's about it.

They said the same shit about Hillary. If she wins definite war with Russia, I knew people very concerned about that and it affected voting. I don’t understand the conservative mind.

Certainly the Chiefs don't have years of dominance...

The officiating crew they had at that game, and how many times they cut to her, it doesn't make me tinfoil hat, but it does remind me the NFL is almost entirely profit driven.

Also comparing comment threads (on YouTube) of the games yesterday, it's amazing how much more derision is stirred when the officials seem to have bias (chiefs ravens), compared to when the game is called with restraint (49ers lions). The niners lions comments were downright civil, while Ravens and Chiefs were openly hostile.
