I keep getting a closed *link error

Low bar. Just name 3 random countries from the global south and you'll probably get it right.

[–] baldingpudenda@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago

Yeah, I'm not sure, but more than likely all of central and south America

[–] drolex@sopuli.xyz 23 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (2 children)

Actually extremely low bar. I was checking the Wikipedia page and I was thinking that Liechtenstein could be safe, but I'm not not completely sure now.

I seriously don't know if it's easier to do the opposite list.

[–] carotte@lemmy.blahaj.zone 5 points 1 month ago

surprisingly canada doesn’t seem to be anywhere on those lists

maybe because even those who get elected on being anti-USA bow down to lick the hegemon’s boots

that would be nice

Don't even need to look outside the so called US. Just look at the Indigenous nations they destroyed.

[–] lectricleopard@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago

I think the Iroquois Nation counts. They certainly had representative government that included the minority parties in decision making. It didn't look like democracy because it wasn't modeled after the Greeks or Romans. They'd never heard of them.

Chile, Iran, Nicaragua

This is not c/196

Why did you title it rule?

[–] Una@europe.pub 10 points 1 month ago (2 children)

You love USA? Name every American...

[–] PolandIsAStateOfMind@lemmy.ml 12 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (3 children)

Bob. That's it, now every American is named Bob.

[–] selokichtli@lemmy.ml 5 points 1 month ago (1 children)
[–] PolandIsAStateOfMind@lemmy.ml 4 points 1 month ago (1 children)

No, everyone is Bob, no exceptions.

[–] selokichtli@lemmy.ml 6 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

~~Karen~~ Bob won't like this.

[–] ordnance_qf_17_pounder@reddthat.com 4 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Bob

To be fair, you've got a lot of their names correct

It's like the southeastern Poland where everyone is named Bogdan.

Don't forget Jimbob, the American

Too many people with a circular geneological tree, above armed.

[–] zululove@lemmy.ml 8 points 1 month ago

Iran, Iraq, I think Brazil or Cuba

[–] Skullgrid@lemmy.world 7 points 1 month ago

argentina, uruguay, Chile.

[–] Mediocre_Bard@lemmy.world 6 points 1 month ago

Banana-pire, Oil-pire, and Cigar-pire.

Hawaii is probably #1. I don't care that they were a monarchy

[–] migo@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 1 month ago

Chile, Indonesia, Brazil

[–] Tenderizer78@lemmy.ml 3 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

Australia, Indonesia, Bolivia, Chile

(It's hard to know which criticisms were propaganda and which were legit, so I can't pick many that I can call my "favourite". I'm 100% confident in Australia, mostly in Bolivia, somewhat in Chile, doubtful of Indonesia).

[–] Ascend910@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

As a Labor/Greens voter in Australia, I am still salty about this. They did a entire peaceful coup just to save their little enclave next to Alice spring

[–] Tenderizer78@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

If it weren't for them, Australia would be a super-power to rival China and the US combined.

Better yet, show the top 3 illegally elected governments they have overthrown.
