That was common in my city too. They "solved it" by making tables smaller and putting little cutesy signs like being considerate to sharing the space/power.

I stopped going to Starbucks so uncertain if it continued.

You need to leave the gennie outside so the carbon monoxide doesn't poison you. Then you can run some long-ass cables to where you're seated, blocking the door from shutting properly and causing a tripping hazard for the non-dickhead clientele.
