Avoid taking your phones in the bathroom, as it can expose you to radiation and increase your chances of haemorrhoids.

Emphasis mine, but seeing this made me immediately discount this site as a reputable source.

Piefed has a little red icon next to the source which recommends checking MBFC for its credibility.

Overall, we rate New Delhi Television Limited (NDTV) Right-Center Biased and questionable due to the promotion of propaganda, poor sourcing techniques, a lack of transparency and several failed fact checks.

It's AI slop

The random single mention of radiation tells me this is just another AI blurp

[–] FauxLiving@lemmy.world 23 points 1 day ago

I went into my bathroom and it was full of electromagnetic radiation and 5G. Checkmate, atheists

That came out of nowhere after a bunch of already known but reasonable advice. Was it written by AI and not checked for misinformation, or is it just spreading the cell phone radiation misinfo in an organic, human way, I wonder?

[–] frongt@lemmy.zip 7 points 1 day ago

I don't sense any human touch in the article's writing. I think the whole thing is generated.

Hah! Before smart phones I used to sit on the toilet just as long as I do now reading magazines or books.

Never had haemorroids.

The bathroom was the only place my family would give me even a moments rest. I used to hide in there just so I could disengage my brain for 15 mins. Then my mom decided I was doing something nefarious in there and she'd fucking sit outside the bathroom blabbering incessantly to try to drive me out.

[–] rants_unnecessarily@piefed.social 7 points 1 day ago (1 children)

So now you have a fetish to incessant blathering, right?

[–] TheLadyAugust@lemmy.world 12 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Ballgags, actually... Keeps them quiet.... (¬_¬")

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° )

Just get a squatty potty. You'll be fine.

They sit anyway, whether on this throne or that.

[–] baronvonj@piefed.social 2 points 1 day ago

But only the toilet has an open hole in the middle for your butt to hang down through, and you're usually not spending any time trying to push out a turd on any seat that's not a toilet.
