Strictly speaking, that headline and the articles I've read in the Western press, suggest the idea was to incite a rebellion by clearing a path. Meaning by weakening the regime and giving the protestors the opportunity to seize the government.
It doesn't suggest they were trying what they did in Afghanistan, finding all the incels and giving them money and guns.
Just the normal leftist conspiracy theory proven correct as always, but this time it's a speedrun

I literally had an intense discussion about this in real life and said the same thing. The victims and the perpetrators both agree that CIA and Mossad were trying to affect regime change. But westernern libs know better of course...
