Not forgotten, too many of you guys are sellouts. They'll die in the climate wars so they're covered.

When I was in grad school I knew a guy who just simply didn't teach for half the semester. No contact with students, no classes held, just didn't show. He gave everyone a passing grade on the midterm and came back halfway through. No explanation. He was not fired. Of course, like the rest of us, he was grossly underpaid and didn't have health insurance. I guess they get what they get if they're gonna treat us like cogs, right?

Capitalism has only existed for a couple centuries. Something that new can't be human nature!

It's a pretty decent film, if a little heavy on the religious message.

Yeah, the reason for owning guns isn't to protect against the government's tyranny, it's to help half the country's military fight the other half of the country's military in some (hopefully still theoretical) civil war.

Good point. I don't want to date trans people, but I wouldn't want to use an app that purposely excluded them. I'd rather occasionally have to go "oh sorry thanks for telling me" than restrict my dating pool to bigots.

One thing I've been annoyed with after switching to Firefox is the iffy password manager performance. It's so common for it not to remember a password that it should, or, weirdly, for it to only remember the password once I've typed the whole username in and hit tab.

Have you been on a dating app? The experience is extremely gender specific. Men spend their time sending out as many likes as are available, and women spend their time sorting through likes they get. This is the experience for either gender unless you're at the very high or low end of the desireability spectrum.

June is a great time to go back. I always dream of being a snow bird and just living in Seattle when the weather is great (June through Sept), then going somewhere warm and deserty for the winter.

Having lived there, Houston to College Station to Waco is 100% ugly. Really all of East Texas. I admit the hill country is pretty decent.

I moved to Seattle, though. Most Texans don't know what they're missing.

Wish this was me. I've been making the same dumb decisions since I was 20 and now I'm in my late 30s

In every thread like this I have to show up and just say: I have four part-jobs and work every day of the week and I can't afford a house. It's so frustrating to literally be working all the time, have no shot at the American dream anyway, and see privileged fucks like this guy claim I'm not working at all.
