I have a DVD collection I want on my Jellyfin library. What software should I use for compressing these DVD files to sizes matching what you find at sea? in c/piracy@lemmy.dbzer0.com

makeMkv first and handbrake to compress. When using handbrake make sure to pick video and audio formats that work for your clients. I recommend h265 and eAC3 audio.

I think you can use Synology photos as the backup for the images and this as your front end ... But not sure haven't done it.
