Images of a modest middle class vacation
FBI: this should make you feel bad, that modest middle class vacation is at the cost of the publishing company CEO's second yacht being smaller than he promised his children. It doesn't even have a helipad!

The joke is that a clueless American signed up for the wrong IRA but end up agreeing with the anti-British rhetoric
Man I hate what EA did to the PvZ franchise after the initial success. Such potential
.world pre-emptively blocked them (twice) because ~~they're nerds~~ they're hosted in the EU and they thought they'd get in trouble by association for being federated with instances that promotes discussion of something illegal in their physical server's jurisdiction. They had a lot of traffic. The db0 comm is still alive.
太丢脸了。
Like this is deeply embarrassing. Nancy Pelosi kneeling while wearing Kente Cloth levels of embarrassing. It shows OP doesn't have any close Chinese friends and also demonstrates a reddit headline level of understanding of China; Hong Kong is not behind the firewall, HKers can (and often do) post this picture.
As a Chinese person, the mental image of OP smugly posting this to "own the tankies" in the same way MAGA dipshits post "Let's Go Brandon" hoping to own the liberals has given me a near lethal amount of second hand cringe.
Please, for the love of god, never approach a Chinese person with this attitude irl. This is on par with ordering an "Irish Car Bomb" in an Irish pub on St. Patricks day, or saying "grassy-ass" to your Hispanic server instead of "thank you", or trying to use anime Japanese around Japanese people, or code switching to AAVE around black people.
.world pre-emptively blocked the piracy comms because they are ostensibly based in Germany and have to abide by EU rules re: promotion/discussion of copyright infringement.
Despite the fact that they were never even issued a warning for such an obscure internet forum, and plausible deniability because the content wasn't even theirs, they thought it's better be ~~paranoid~~ safe than sorry.
ETA: so now .world has a stricter and more draconian policy regarding the discussion of piracy than Reddit, a publically traded entity based in the US, which has even harsher copyright infringement laws.
.world has one disadvantage: It has to follow the laws of the Netherlands, Finland AND Germany.
So theoretically, if something's legal for the Dutch and Finns but illegal in Germany, it's not ok on .world. I believe it used to be smaller but I think they expanded admin teams? Idk how a single non profit website is somehow beholden to the laws of 3 separate countries.
It would be hilarious if they expanded this further. They add a country where alcohol sale is illegal? Recommendations for cocktails are now against TOS. For all. Add Singapore? Oops, discussing procurement of chewing gum is now against TOS. USA? Kinder Surprise is against TOS.
It's Spez's Lemmy account.
Dear Mr. President, there are too many states nowadays. Please eliminate three. I am not a crackpot.
I think there are more Ultras than Trots these days, this is like seeing a unicorn.
Lmao, that's a testament to communist Cuba's success. No other form of government could withstand a US embargo for a year and not collapse. Cuba has withstood for DECADES and has surpassed the US in life expectancy. The buildings are kinda shabby, but homelessness, infant mortality, illiteracy are all LOWER than the US, the richest country in the history of the world.
See, poor student drowning in debt? These people are having a mediocre vacation! Don't look up how much money the publishing companies make btw
