Funny, but that's entirely different from what I wrote in all but general vibe, maybe. Besides, following Israel's example isn't exactly a recipe for success.

The funny thing to me is that a throwaway Sony account seems more likely to make a future intentional use of Sony's services a hassle.

You can't make the account because that email is already in use. You do the "forgot my password" thing. You notice that the account's name is terrible, and now you've spent more time fixing a worse thing than if you just didn't have an existing account at all.

Or you make a new account with a new email. Making the God of War account a useless little mole on your library.

I'd call it an appendix, but unlike forced account creation for single player games, the appendix has actually been proven to have a legitimate purpose despite its shortcomings.

That's where modern sequels are best experienced. At a distance, not dealing with them.

Rewriting things like dwemer would have no impact.

Right.

Fuck you.

You are why they do these things to games.

Tear out the guts, replace them with industry standard parts and the most recent fad.

I only do it part time when I think sarcasm would be a little funny.

WoW's talking heads, for example.

Not an improvement.

lol, you don't have an issue with Elder Scrolls 6.

You have an issue with Skyrim.

I don't see usernames, the internet is like the real world to me, where you have to state your preferred pronouns every conversation.

They're usually just liars acting as a filter between the game and the interested customers.

Instead of just showing the game, they cut what doesn't look good and make it appear as something more than it is. That's their job.

It's not adding value. Peak marketing executed perfectly is just misleading enough to increase sales beyond what just seeing the game would do, without making the customers mad enough to have a negative impact.

I make a rare exception for actual artistry, like some of the WoW expansion cinematics. It's still pretty misleading, but they're pretty.

As for the next Elder Scrolls, I don't think Bethesda has the devs to make it fun or interesting. From what I've seen from them, they are not particularly competent.
