I don't think you all understand, the T-Mobile CEO has a fiduciary duty to shareholders, which is a responsibility to act in their best interests and their sole interest is making money. If the CEO doesn't turn over every stone to find a way to make money or reduce costs, they're breaking the law.

Oh wait, you all do understand this horseshit better than most. Lemmy is my sane place 🥰

I remember seeing some of her content previously, so I searched for "quesadilla" on YT. She wasn't too far down the list.

Ehh we can and should do better than T9. ...but then the phone might start to become fun to use, drawing you back in... Bring back T9!

I think it's also in reference to people getting fired over zoom. Also, it could be referencing how gen z will record their firings now and post them to tiktok to shame the company, LOL. I love gen z!

Like most of you, my brain ingests random things and chews on them to produce weird nonsensical things, like when I go to the Midwestern US supercenter chain Meijer, I say if it somehow went into deep space, went through a black hole, and returned two hundred years later, it would be known as M'jer.

I think of this every time I'm there.

I sort of like the misspellings, feels like more like a creative choice than a failure of the technology

I'd argue YTP are better produced than what this article is talking about. I love absurdist humor, but this article is not talking about that. I've seen some stupid fucking shit get offered to my child to watch and would prefer her to watch YTPs instead. She's banned from watching YouTube kids by herself.

Yeah, keep them off YT and YT Kids. Jesus, the stupid brain melting human-made videos are worse enough as it is and kids love watching this shit over well-produced content. The only time I allow my kid to watch YT Kids is when I can watch too and it's on my phone. Recently she started watching a video with an anamorphic cat that was pregnant with a Zombie baby. Of course, YT is the one that offered her this content to watch anyway.

If you don't want to supervise what your kids watch, lock down their tablet or computer to only connect to streaming services you pay for. People are paid to produce this much higher quality content and then it is reviewed by people who know what should be acceptable for kids to watch. Compare this to some jackass on YouTube who can make the worst garbage imaginable, with or without the help of AI, and the YouTube algorithm is more than happy to shove it in your child's face. Which would you prefer your child to watch?

I'm tired of every few years the goal post for where one generation ends and another one begins keeps moving around. I demand that there be a ratifying organization that determines officially when generation s begin and end. So say we all!

Not all. We employ these at my work for various applications such as movie playback and they have various brightness levels too. Look at LG Professional series or Dell LFDs.

Oh, did you forget about the time LTE started rolling out and telcos decided to call HSPA+ (3.5G) 4G? One of these scumbags will start calling it 6G. Marketing teams are full of great ideas. /s

Which "E" is this?

The biggest Internet service providers will dominate a $42.45 billion broadband grant program unless the Biden administration changes a rule requiring grant recipients to obtain a letter of credit from a bank, according to a joint statement from consumer advocacy groups, local government officials, and advocates for small ISPs.

The letter sent today to US government officials argues that "by establishing capital barriers too steep for all but the best-funded ISPs, the LOC [letter-of-credit requirement] shuts out the vast majority of entities the program claims to prioritize: small and community-centered ISPs, minority and women-owned ISPs, nonprofits, and municipalities."

The rule is part of the Broadband Equity Access and Deployment (BEAD) program that's being administered by the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA).
