If we find out "I do not consent" opts out, I'm fine with it.

Why? They don't need more money. Jellyfin proves how much of their service can be done for free

Right? Is anyone else grateful knowing that we're building medical devices that can help us connect with fully disabled people like they're humans again?

Video games haven’t risen in cost with inflation and they’re much better and bigger now

I agree with the bigger, but not better tbh

Yes, but like mental math, it didn't go away when we introduced calculators, and there's a correlation between people who have those skills and income levels (which I'm using as a proxy for "usefulness"). The education system needs to adapt to assignments that students can't just paste into ChatGPT and call it a day- students need to keep spending effort learning.

Google Chat or whatever uses to be federated via XMPP, but then they slowly started making incompatibility changes. Due to it being such a dominant chatting service, the real federated versions died out.

Basically I'm saying it's not worth it. If you want to support Threads or Blue Sky as a central front page to the Fediverse then go for it, but they don't actually need your support.

Websites publish the full article so that search engines and news readers pick it up, but then hide it with JavaScript so humans can't see it. The archive doesn't run JavaScript so it doesn't get the blocked version

Can someone explain how the supply chains would sustain people not working

Honestly these old folks had the luxury of swimming in many creeks and rivers with low pollution, maybe them going there today and seeing how bad it is will make them realize how we're destroying the planet for shareholder value
