Idk about pub vibes. But work culture fit is always a factor when hiring. If the person hiring you doesn't like your vibe, you ain't getting the job. Sometimes that extends to the whole team and your 3 month probationary period will heavily depend on you fitting with other workers.

It's overly simplistic. It does help, but it's more about changing habits and developing new ones.
