Yes, because the disaster that is the stock market is really going to prove anything. Economies work best when small amounts change hands often and all these people who deal in stocks care about are big numbers and getting in on the action of stealing more and more money.

They’re excited about lower taxes, removal of regulation, and the ability to further exploit the working class for short term gain. That’s all. If they actually gave a shit about having a strong economy they’d be paying their people well enough to supporty and not be chasing infinite growth in a finite system.

Yea with the amount of USB-A stuff still in circulation everyone dropping it early was so fuckin’ weak. That’ll shit’ll still be useful a decade from now.

Turns out what you wanted was financial stability and to not feel like you’d end up on the street. That doesn’t cancel out what should be a very basic expectation of baseline respect from employers and fair pay, though, so here we all are rightly pissed-off.

This work will have lots of applications in the future. I personally stay as far away from it as I can because I just have zero need for it to write souless birthday card messages for me but to act like the work is doing nothing is kinda stupid.

Every stage it’s been at people would say “oh this can’t even do X” and then it could and they’d so “oh it can’t do Y” and then it could and they’d say…do I really need to go on?

The biggest issue with it all right, for me anyway, now is that we’re trying to use it for the absolute dumbest shit imaginable and investors are throwing tonnes of money, that could solve real problems we don’t need AI for, into the grinder while poverty and climate change run rampant around us.

Oh yea for sure, that I’m behind 100%. “Strategic voting” is just silencing your one chance to have a real voice based on whoever’s PR team is doing better.

Is there something I’m missing? They won because they got the most votes between three parties(but not a majority) and then the most again during the second round of voting between the top two. They won both times.

Ideologies aside your comment is written like you suspect foul play or something. “It’s broken because they could never win if there was competition” is just a terrible take so I assume I must be interpretting it wrong, right?

Gamers and still buying the same old tired shit while bitching about it, name a more…

You’re absolutely right. The number of great games to play is absurd and the access to them has never been better but for some reason most people just play mediocre games that should have been put out to pasture years ago.

If you’re gunna simp for something you could at least have the self-respect to choose a thing that isn’t openly unstable dogshit.

Right but if Windows is now becoming a problem then it’s a start. And so many software developers I know use MacBooks for their job and say that they’re just better for the work. Microsoft is hoping that the fear of change means they can do whatever they want, if they even have any thoughts in their thick heads at all that is, and don’t seem to realize that at some point even the most devoted users will have to face the fact that there are better options.

Fuck Windows, it’s such an ass product that’s only selling point right now that some key products don’t work on anything else simply because the developers of them don’t want to do the work and not because it has some magic sauce that a Mac or Linux machine doesn’t.

My old roommate just wakes up with perfect hair. Some people just got it in ‘em. I also learned how to cut my own hair in the pandemic and it went pretty well, though yea a knife a dirty mirror ain’t gunna cut it.

Right? It looks super easy to get off of there. Getting up there and leaving with it might be a different story but physically it doesn’t look like it would take much effort.
