I was simply offering a case where steam isn't the simple solution to gaming on Linux, as described by the post above.

I never said I was describing a 'problem with Linux' or a 'problem with the game'.

Not all games are available on Steam or will work with steams proton/wine/whatever.

Game publishers have the right to choose how and where they publish their games. If I can't install and play them on my machine I simply won't. AS there is already an endless list of great games I haven't played.

  1. Launch Steam.
  2. Game isn't available on Steam.
  3. No 'Play' button

There are Issues.

Don't fucking clone the godaweful mess that is Discord. Please, for the love of God start with something else.

You can spin up a virtual machine running Tiny10 and install office on that. Should work fine.

I can notice things like mouse movement being smoother at high refresh rates, but it's totally not a deal breaker. 60hz is more than good enough for everyday use.

How about I spin up an AI model that outputs a near 1:1 copy of the training data?

Does that circumvent the copyright?

Easy, instead of developing the technology themselves they just copy it and claim they developed it 10000 times faster.

It's a play on the original title.

Heroes 3 HoTA is still excellent and being actively developed.

The screen consumes orders of magnitude less energy than what it takes to move the car. It's not even worth taking into account.
