Zoos tend to struggle with Step 7 and they have far better conditions than a beat up converted freighter

Talking with some female friends the bar for men is so incredibly low. Trim your hair, bathe regularly, brush your teeth and be non-creepy and you're already in the top 50% or so

I hadn't seen any of his talks or content in a while so I was pretty sad to see how he stood on the recent Godot bans (shockingly opening GitHub issues containing slurs directed at the developers gets you banned from interacting with their project! Who'da thunk it?) and then seeing his comment section full of varying levels of dogwhistle to the rhetoric

Edit to add: in hindsight his slide into conspiracy definitely explains why I've gotten weird vibes off of his previously very good content

Makeup is pretty bad for your skin but really I was most concerned about how it might become a crutch or even cause of self esteem issues, as well as not wanting to perpetuate the stereotype that all women must wear makeup. But I think I might have been wrong about it on the emotional and gender fronts because she has so much fun putting makeup on as well as doing her younger brother's makeup and nails

I learned very quickly I had already lost on the makeup battle by the time my daughter was 2. I thought maybe we could make it until she was a teenager but NOPE

Also worth noting often if you see what looks like Amish folks driving a car, especially if its for personal errands they're often not Amish but Mennonite.

I very consistently manage to shop at the same time as one Mennonite family, so I'll see them getting groceries then load up their car and drive home

My understanding is the faith has exclusions to the rules for when its necessary for work, so an Amish IT Administrator wouldn't be impossible!

That sounds super interesting! Can you link me/tell me how that works networking wise at a high level? I've been poking at a number of distributed compute and decentralized software lately just because every single one has its own unique solutions to the various chicken/egg problems that decrentalization pose

Ehhh I should've figured info from a source like this would be woefully misrepresented

Research like this gives me hope for people like my severely autistic son who has been missing development milestone after development milestone so a fear of mine is that he might eventually have to live in a group home once he's strong enough to overpower us. If a treatment like this can manage symptoms enough to allow him to live independently that would be literally life changing

Excel is the backbone of so many businesses though!
