Distracted by media and a market of commodities
We’re just resources, units for their economy

And they want technology that’ll make us obsolete
I mean why pay for workers when you can automate machines
yeah we’re being ruled by other human beings
who seem to have forgotten what that means

we’re hamsters on a wheel we’re a human fucking farm
And they’ve worked us to the bone we’re all weathered and worn

Every Empire on this Earth has fallen...and Floating very much is not flying. 🎵

And so as to not leave you with a Gordion Knot:

The structures of our state economies are going to matter in terms of protecting democracies, and by that I mean if you look at economies that were based in the kind of small producer economies like New England was vs states like the South and the American West that were always built on the idea of very high capital using extractive methods to get resources out of the land either cotton or mining or oil or water or agri business, those economies always depend on a few people with a lot of money, and then a whole bunch of people who are poor and doing the work for those Rich guys -- and that I'm not sure is compatible in terms of governance without addressing the reality that you know if people have more of a foothold in their own communities, they are then more likely to support the kinds of legislation that Community [Education, Healthcare, ..] and that may be the future of democracy, if not a national democracy.”

“Practicing mutual aid is the surest means for giving each other and to all the greatest safety, the best guarantee of existence and progress, bodily, intellectually and morally.”

Solidarity Economies, and Mutualism, will be the way forward.

To follow Corporate and their bought-out state institutions is to to walk willing into one's own ruin.

Tbf "dumb" is ableist. You're shaming anyone who isnt "high iq", and IQ, and measuring intelligence in general, is doing the nazi's work for them.

Tbf you can insult someone's actions without resorting to personal attacks. "Voting for drumf is tantamount to shooting yourself through both feet and still managing to pierce your ear with the bullet...but hey at least it'll match your furher's ear" (See how i use the opportunity to be creative and provactive with a hint of dark humor?)

Aaaaand tbf "wrongthink" absolutely gives off qanon/kekistan" vibes so dont be surprised when talking like this turns you into a person people dont want to be around.

Relevant for me; i nearly changed careers out of tech entirely -- being fed up with the state of the industry -- but found some great folks in worker cooperative spaces. Here's what's kept me optimistic:

Plucked a vid off this channel and let it be known the idea of the channel name is to "reject isms/be your own ism"

Solarpunk has replaced, for me, the plasteel+glass greenhouse skyscraper skylines. Afrofuturism offers a much better preconfiguration than anything of capitalist and anglo origins. Importantly, the dismantling of unjust heirarchies.

I never lost the optimism, i just recognized that the root cause of our pain is not going to be addressed by technnlology (new invention) without an equal-or-greater effort into decolonizing and unlearning on the part of those building, using and promoting a given technology.

https://resonate.coop/ is a spotify alternative which has been goin on for several years now. Support for small artists goes far, solidarity for all workers, Co-Ops represent a neccesary stepping stone towards a sustainable society so Subvert is nice to learn about :)

When we got complacent
In defending our rights
The Nazis changed their name
Now they’re called the alt-right
