I think it isn't illegal if it can't grow a plant, so if heated or ground. You can buy ground hempseed, and i think i have some downstairs. Still, imports and such are much trickier, which is probably why they don't use it for exports. Also other countries may have stricter imports, and perhaps the company doesn't want the headache of verifying which market to send which product to.

It's similar to how most companies just conform to Californian restrictions rather than make different products for different states in the US.

I think it's Hempseed rather than weed itself, but proper Nanami/shichimi togarashi (7 spice blend, roughly translated) has Hempseed. Because of the ban on drugs and such, most exports and US versions exclude it though.

As an example, this site shows and advertises it's usage, then on the same page says:

Hemp seeds match sesame in terms of flavor and aroma. There is an old Japanese saying: "Those able to mill hemp seed are truly mature."

No hemp seeds are used in products for overseas markets.

As others mentioned, it does look kinda ridiculous in person. Driving home Sunday with my sister we saw one, pointed and both laughed/chuckled to each other. I wasn't looking at the driver so dunno if they noticed, but if they were looking at our faces as we passed they might have been able to notice, and it was just a natural reaction, not meant to have the owner notice in an effort to mock or anything.

Having tried to use those, my main issue was the 710 is an unreliable 2.4ghz wireless, when bluetooth controllers all worked much better for me. I couldn't get the 710 to have reliable button presses from more than like 4 feet from my pc, so I ended up just using the 310 wired. Maybe there isn't enough interference on the sub for that to be an issue.

As people have pointed out, they're an advocacy group, and trying to reach less aware people. The fact that Elon banned em shows it was most likely working.

I'm trying, but I have writers block.

It's not octopuses that octopodes corrects, it's octopi. Octopi is a Latin pluralization, and since the word is Greek and us to i isn't specifically American, I agree with you that octopuses is fine but not that octopi is fine.

... as opposed to American Spyware? I'm no fan of any governments, including both Chinese and American (not fully anti government, just think all need drastic improvments) but while I understand calling it Spyware, the focus on Chinese feels a bit sinophobic. Facebook does bad spying work too, plus has run experiments on users live. Cambridge Analytica stole info for political means as well. Google, ISPs, and many other info sites collect and sell info on you, and many of them will submit info to governments when requested. X/Twitter is run by an egotistical MAGA idiot who is blocking stuff he doesn't like but allowing Nazis to be broadcast to everyone.

They should all be considered similarly problematic.

They may have meant it maliciously, but I took it more as just pointing out the group of people most likely to get it. Older millennials like myself get it too, as I'm sure some genz and gena get also, but due to the song coming out when I was 2, I'd expect genx in general to be more familiar.

Nah. My name starts with Chat that is pronounced Shat. I grew up with my name being joked at being equated to shit by immature people. It's easy to get over. Every chat someone types out or references is not me. Same with every shit or shat. People need to get over themselves.

I do like pretending everytime someone asks "Chat, is this blah?" that they're talking to me, but only as a joke. I'm in no way personally offended.
