True. PopOS has pretty current kernels, and is very beginner friendly. What I mean is that there are options, regardless of hardware (unless your on an m3 Crapple chip).

I would, and do. I have had to sacrifice some convenience to stand my ground and my values, but that's up to each individual how far they are willing to go.

You can always install a newer kernel, or move to something Fedora or Arch based. My son has ZorinOS on 6.8

What is this "battery" thing you speak of?

[–] jjlinux@lemmy.ml 2 points 5 months ago

It already is, but normies are not aware of that yet.

Ah, the luxurious distro-hopping wagon 🤤

Yeah, now go crazy trying shit you probably should not be trying. From my perspective, that's the best perk of any Linux distro. Evidently, backup first.

Fucking genius 🤣🤣

I like his logic about this. We paid for the games, so nothing wrong with using them however we want. I just want my kids to know they have options and use them.

Yeah, I still have like 2 more years left on my NordVPN, but the moment that dies, I'm moving to Mullvad (or something similar or better if available).
