I got proxmox setup pretty easy and I am running Plex in an lxc, and docker in another. In docker, I use paperless NGx for electronic document storage
The pessimist in me feels Microsoft need people to buy the new devices with the shiny new co-pilot button more than ever.. gotta recoup the hundreds of billions sunk into OpenAI
Yes but it is not moving that air at a rapid pace past the components as it drags it though the case
I think I read somewhere that this isn’t good for thermals. It would only ever stay at ambient temperature, so it wouldn’t benefit from cool air being moved through the case and past the components
Like all the people who didn’t need an iPhone 16 Pro Max because they already had an iPhone 15 Pro Max? People out there are buying millions dollar properties to stay empty. Sony wouldn’t have even created it unless there was a market for it
Tbh, most people would drop more than the price difference on clothes that they will never wear. Just look at the new car market. Hardly anyone buys the cheap model, so for a couple of hundred bucks, I don’t think anyone really cares about this. If they have the disposable income, they will probably just buy the pro because of the perception that they are buying the best.
I always thought this is why the Facebooks and Googles of the world are hoovering up the data now
Because Windows 11 is yet another painful transition for staff who are mostly IT illiterate folk, and it easier to leave things the way they are until necessary..
I thought I read that Intel said this was from messing with voltages? I have had plenty of these processors in the last couple of years and never experienced crashes, but I don’t overclock
I eventually got the GPU passed through to the VM.. it took about a day of following different guides. Then I tried the same thing on a container and it was about 3 mins work and it was in infinitely better experience with plex in a container instead of a vm
I don’t really see the problem with having the password manager in the cloud if it is protected by 2FA. I tried vaultwarden (self hosted) about a year ago and the showstopper was that I couldn’t store a new password when off LAN or without first connecting the VPN. I am sure there are on demand vpn type services, but it was clunky. It would have been great it if would work locally on the phone then sync the password to the vault when it came back online
