I feel the specs are fine for the use case that the device is aimed at (media consumption, some office usage).. you know, the things that a huge chunk of the population use a device for.. if that doesn’t suit, there are more powerful options.

I don’t think it is productive arguing that an ultra cheap/low end device isn’t powerful enough, or specced high enough for activities/use cases that it wasn’t designed for.

ICE providing security for American politicians in another country? Don’t they have a dedicated security group called the Secret service or something like that?

Seems logical for a country that has a healthcare system that profits off people being sick.. get infectious disease, end up in hospital, go broke

Yeah, my daughter broke it to me. I remember my friends (back in the day) telling me the problems they were having getting their kids off it and I hadn’t heard much since.. apparently one of my daughters friends is waiting for a catwoman skin to come back

I don’t really see the problem with having the password manager in the cloud if it is protected by 2FA. I tried vaultwarden (self hosted) about a year ago and the showstopper was that I couldn’t store a new password when off LAN or without first connecting the VPN. I am sure there are on demand vpn type services, but it was clunky. It would have been great it if would work locally on the phone then sync the password to the vault when it came back online

I got proxmox setup pretty easy and I am running Plex in an lxc, and docker in another. In docker, I use paperless NGx for electronic document storage

The pessimist in me feels Microsoft need people to buy the new devices with the shiny new co-pilot button more than ever.. gotta recoup the hundreds of billions sunk into OpenAI
