Oh so you are more like "If I kill a man and run away to Russia, that means Russia is the good guy here, because I won't take any consequences", I think this topic is pretty undefined here, like many people may have different opinion on that, wheter a company should cooperate with government. But the thing is Deepseek has to coop, they have no option, and Deepseek is on the enemy side for us - west, thats why giving them data is like giving them money, data is money, you want China to get bigger, or your country? If you localhost, yeah it is far more better than any ClosedAI, but people don't do that, therefore you should be against using deepseek app and website if you care about interesr of your country.

Yeah, the same goes for global warming "if I burn these tires nothing happens, like its not any warmer here", and then everyone does that and everyone loses on that.
They are absolutely right! Most people don't give a fuck about hosting their own AI, they just download "Deepsneak" and chat..and it is unfortunately even worse than "ClosedAI", cuz they are based in China. Thats why I hope Duckduckgo will host deepseek on their servers (as it is very lightweight in resources, yes?), then we will all benefit from it.
Haha, that happens. I thought about switching to arch many times, but I believed they will fix this 550 shit soon...and they did! I'm so happy, as OpenSUSE TW is so stable I really don't want to go back to arch.
Year of the Linux Desktop!
Still we, dinosaur.🦖
True...BT codecs these days are almost hi-res compatible, why to even bother when actually audiophiles use external DAC.
Rel man, I got pretty good nvidia gpu, but its 10 yo, it never played well with linux, but I feel like recently its much smoother experience on KDE wayland, before I had to use xorg as it was unusable on wayland. I think new major version (6) + constant updates to wayland made it usable, thats why i praise KDE so much, great DE and all their apps (like KDE connect, filelight, partition manager etc.).
It's more of a distro problem than KDE. I have nvidia toi, and I admit, it bugs sometimes out.
Fr, same experience. It surprises me though, that gnome has 2x more funding...
Good summary, I can't stand Zorin's GNOME on my laptop though (I used to use KDE on my main PC). Come on, 5 clicks to connect with BT headphones every time? No auto-connecting? I have to install extensions anyway? Meh that's not for me...I can't change date to ISO format on my laptop, because I need extension for this too. Another extension for auto-connecting with VPN, and another app as a killswitch. Just you need to find an app/extension/tweak if you want to do anything more advanced than most basic functionality, it annoys me af. And I really like Zorin, its so noob-friendly (as I wanted it to be), but at the same time many functionalities don't work just because of "simplicity".
Every mechanic does not know how to fix x11, and cannot fix it without extensive knowledge.
