It's simple. Chase money.

He's complaining that googlers aren't killing products faster anymore because of the remote work. It was easier to just say "hey how about we kill gtalk" over on campus coffee shop discussions, but now they've to do that on Google meet and it limits the imagination of what all they could kill next week.
Ahhhh, yeah
MKBHD wave form sound board.
Yeah the more I read it seems some crucial security software deployed bad patch.
I'm sure whatever OS would dominate would face widespread issues just by the numbers.
But to be fair it's fun to make fun of Windows/MSFT :p
Linux and Mac just got free advertisment.
I think it is already happening gradually. SteamDeck has single handedly opened the eyes of so many already. M1 Macs did that for macOS as well.
Could it be that consumers are putting money where there mouths are and this is just Microsoft desperately trying to increase their margins since their business isn't growing anymore?
I mean the more people move away, the more likely it is Microsoft would milk the ones who can't.
Will this mean PS5 games in coming years would come in two disks?
Update: never mind they were always using 100 gb
If I were young I would totally play all the games I could. They young ones saw 2008, pandemic, wars, inflation. If not escapism then what?
I guess we'll see one or two games do this every 1-2 years, and I think that's actually fine. Baldur's Gate 3 did it but in the end optimising for Series S improved it for everyone. Alan Wake 2 devs said it was hard to fit things into Series S memory but they got there in the end and even delivered a 60 FPS mode. Even Immortals of Avuem got it working at 60 FPS for Series S.
It sucks for the devs for sure and they should leverage it to get some concessions from Microsoft for making them do all the hard work. Maybe a smaller platform fee, or partial funding.
Unpopular opinion but I actually like ubisoft, they've their own space in gaming and their games are good junk food games.
