I just defeated him. He was a bit difficult.

I don’t know I could have upgraded the needle already, so I defeated him with the base needle.

Then I looked up where to use the oil and found out I could have fought him with 3 needle upgrades 😂

I hardly ever use the tools. They are full for me most of the time.

I have played through Hollow Knight twice so I am pretty familiar with this gameplay style and I did just recently played through Hollow knight again before this game came out. I agree this game is difficult, but it’s not that difficult. Every boss has a pattern that can be learned after three or four tries.

I’m a bit out of the loop, what’s this referring to?

I think shen megami tensi didn’t before them. Dragon quest might have, but I’m not sure about that one.

I wouldn’t mind checkpoints before the boss even if it’s not a bench and more of a “retry” option.

But the annoyance of run backs raises the stakes of the fight a bit. Like, “Please let me win this time so I don’t have to do another run back.”

But I was annoyed at a particular fight that started without warning and I had not really explored the new area yet, so I didn’t have a chance to find a closer bench.

I don’t really watch new tech videos anymore because I’m not I. The market for new tech. Mostly because it’s way too expensive now and my old stuff works well enough.

They are getting charged with DDOSing these companies though.

I agree, I looked into some AI stuff and it was really complex.

I’ve seen this story before and that complex stuff kind goes away and then it was a waste of time learning it.

I have a few friends in this situation.

My wife and I sometimes say that we are happy that we are done with the going out dating night life scene.

We both had fun times dating when we were younger and single, but we are older now and are happy to relax on our home on a Friday night.

One of our single friends said they were tired of going out to date and stuff, and I don’t blame her. As you get into your late 30s, the appeal is kind of gone.

I’m sure I don’t speak for everyone. But I just wanted to share my experience.

I think we are all wondering one thing that Pete might be able to answer.

“When two gay men have sex, how do they know who's penis will open up to accept the other person's penis?”

I did something similar to this before because I live in a different country from my home country and it’s not a problem if you host your own VPN in your own home, but if you use a commercial VPN service, the IP address may be flagged

The title really says it all, but I’m self hosting world of Warcraft wrath of the lich king.

I’m just so shocked that it all works to be honest. It’s blowing my mind still.

I always want to play classic wow, but I play so infrequently that it’s not worth paying a subscription.

It never really occurred to me that I could just host my own server until chatgpt recommended that when I was researching things to self hosting.

It’s not public yet as my upload speeds are too slow.

I think I’m going to set the server up on my laptop so I can play wow while on my 14 hour flight coming up.

I’ve always played the game solo anyway due to my casualness.

I know this is going to be unpopular with some, but I am seriously considering a Mac and I am annoyed by the idea of it.

I NEED MacOS or Windows for my work. There is one application that does not work in Linux yet and there are no alternatives. It is a critical work application.

With that being said, you can probably guess that Linux is my preferred OS of choice.

I am currently using a Windows desktop for my work, but I do run into situations where I need a laptop. The laptop I am using now is a Thinkpad from 2021 with Fedora. I actually really love this computer. My only real complain is that the webcam is pretty garbage.

So, I think I need a new computer. My choices are Windows laptops which have decent pricing with good specs, or Apple which is extremely expensive for what you get.

I'm really annoyed with Windows' ads, bloat, and general lack of privacy; specifically Recall. On the other hand, it is hard to justify spending an extra $400 on a Macbook air just to get a 1tb hard drive. My work files alone take up a little more than 200gb.

I guess this is just a rant. I'm not looking for any solutions as what I am really looking is the ability to use Linux for my work which is not an option at the moment.

I've been using Kopia to backup my Windows work machine, Linux personal computer, and my wife's Macbook.

Right now, It is just backing up to my NAS, but I would like to have it backup to a cloud solution.

I figured I would get some S3 storage somewhere and point Kopia at that to make the backup. I do not need a lot of space. I think 500gb would be enough. I do not want costs to be too high.

Do I have the right plan, or is there a better option?

Thanks in advance.

I grew up playing Final Fantasy VII. I probably played it around 10-12 years old and again on ios a few years ago.

WOW! What a classic.

I decided to play the remake on my Steam Deck just ot revisit the game and see areas of the game reimagined.

They did a great job in this aspect, but overall I feel that the game has not been fun.

So far, it is just walking from place to place while having the occasional battle. 99% of the time you can mindlessly mash a button to find the battle.

The few boss battles that come up can be interesting and this is where you start to learn the mechanics as they are not needed up until this point.

But, there are many sections that are long for the sake of being long. Like making you walk slowly in certain situations, like walking up to 7th Heaven, or making you hold a button to interact with something when 99% of things just require you to press the button once.

My biggest disappointment in the game is that the gear I unlocked and leveled up, do not carry over to the next game. Once I learned this, I stopped caring. They really should have let you bring over your characters.

Anyway, I am near the end game now and will probably finish it since there is not much left, but I will not be playing other iterations of this game. I might just watch a speed-run or a "let's play" to see the different areas.
