Why in the world does an “activist investor” need to exist?

I prefer self checkout because I get to bag my groceries the way I want. It's infuriating to line up my groceries in the correct order only for the cashier/bagger to mix them all up in my bags anyway. If I insist in bagging them myself, then I have to awkwardly do it while the cashier and the next person in line watch and wait for me to finish. At least for self-checkout, there are multiple counters and no single person waiting for me.
Tilda, because I like how you can bring it down the screen anytime with one button.
Just note that startpage uses google search results. It just proxies your queries so your searches are anonymous to google.
Everywhere on social media. However, I did notice I actually read through the articles more often here on lemmy.
Yeah. Ironically the one thing that actually made me come to the office more often is the free lunch coupons they started giving out. I still don’t come in often, but definitely more often than before.
If the quality of their deliveries, especially Fedex Ground, remain the same, they will never be able to compete.
Dune. There will be a butlerian jihad against thinking machines.
They can go for LMDE to avoid the Ubuntu stuff.
Sometime in the late 2000s. Bought a used netbook and didn't know it was running on Ubuntu. Over the years I went through PeppermintOS, Crunchbang, BunsenLabs, Antergos, Arch, and many others. Now I'm on Mint because I don't have the time to maintain my OS and just need something that works. The graph meme where long time users end up with a "basic" distro in the end is somewhat true.
Twitter videos don’t even load half the time on mobile browsers.
I got a new car that automatically unlocks when you pull on the door handle with the fob nearby. It's so hard to not pull on the handles after locking to check. I've had the locks fail on me once on an older car so I'm always paranoid.
