Just by opening wikipedia "In computing, source code, or simply code or source, is a plain text computer program written in a programming language." So what programming language is it?

Publishers are absolutely terrified "preserved video games would be used for recreational purposes," so the US copyright office has struck down a major effort for game preservation in c/games@sh.itjust.works

It's about preserving the consumption culture for the mainstream. If playing older games for free was easier and legal, more people that now only play the newest AAA garbage would start doing it, and corpos don't want to risk that culture change, because if it gets big enough it would definitely impact their sales.

Unfortunately not many people know or care about indie games and free games like Beyond All Reason, Shattered Pixel Dungeon, etc. as is.

I think that's how they used to diagnose some illnesses. Makes you wonder if some docs had a piss kink or if they were just super commited to helping people out.

That's what I thought back in 2007. Now I kinda like the convenience. If they added an option to download the games, like GOG, it'd be perfect.

Steam DRM is a joke anyways and not all games on steam have it, so it wouldn't be that much of a stretch for them to get rid of it.
