Is there an alternative to Microsoft Teams?

[–] super_user_do@feddit.it 5 points 1 week ago

No bro the issue is that you can't fucking read

[–] super_user_do@feddit.it 4 points 1 week ago

No this is not what I'm saying but apparently both of you can't read. I said that Chinese people historically have never had our same amount of freedoms so to them it's not that big of a deal and its just nothing more than a tool to increase productivity. In the west it's different because we do indeed have freedoms that are going to be restricted

Those are two completely different contexts. Every new technology in the west is usually meant to restrict existing freedoms while in China they never historically had said freedoms, so to them it's just an improvement in productivity while to us is not as much of an improvement at the cost of completely usurping the existing rights that made the west great

Bro you are everywhere

Violence starts in socially degraded contexts, no matter what kind of it. If we don't give immigrants an opportunity to integrate or at least become functional, they will turn violent. This also happens with nationals of course but it's not as likely

There's plenty of men in similar situations. I have heard men basically describing that they have been sexually assaulted without them even understanding that they are victims. I got friends who would be considered victims of domestic violence if they were women

Man the internet is full of bots and ragebaiters

I really want to know how the data on gender violence is collected. In Italy we use the data from collectives who consider an extreme violent act of manipulation and control of women's body even stuff like expressing an opinion on an outfit or the makeup. They will give women found on social media a questionary of 7 questions to answer with yes/no/I don't know. I don't think this is a rigorous way to collect data

Hello everyone! After Discord's new CEO came to power, I think its now time to find a viable discord alternative. I figured out that fluxer.app might very well be the best one so I decided to make a community about the Fediverse on there

Fluxer is a discord-like application that also aims to bring decentralization by making users able to host their own Fluxer instances! There's a lot of potential and I think we should support the project. If you want to join, here's the link :D

EDIT: So guys, about the CLA thing.. Hampus (the Developer) removed the CLA completely so now the software is released under plain AGPLv3, which is really nice! Here's my source

I'll go straight to the point:

  • Piracy is useful to bypass regional frontiers and access to censored content
  • Piracy is helpful to watch content without supporting it if you consider it not worth of it
  • Piracy might be helpful for content preservation and survival
  • Piracy is useful to ACTUALLY evaluate whether to spend money on some digital content or not
  • Piracy is sometimes the only way to actually own DRM-protected content
