What free healthcare because it sounds like I've been fucking doing it wrong this whole time holding down job after SHITTY job since I graduated high school and don't have shit to show for it. Fuck all the way off attacking the one thing that brings joy to my life you disingenuous piece of shit.

Could you give a reference? I don't doubt what you're saying, I just think it would be helpful for people to see it.

Well, my vote is definitely for the best of compilation but either way I'll still look forward to it 😁

[–] technomad@slrpnk.net 1 points 3 weeks ago

No worries. I don't think you did anything wrong, I was just trying to share an observation in case it could help 👍

Eden emulator is a fairly new one. I've had good luck with it so far 👍

Damn, for half a second I thought that first picture was real. News got me fucked up...

Good to see you still posting these consistently. Most days I just give a thumbs up and move on 👍

Are you going to do a milestone or compilation post when the time comes? Would be cool to see a 'best of' or something like that.

Is 70 the new normal then? Was all that theater just to make the <80 price tag seem better?

[–] technomad@slrpnk.net 1 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

Seems like a handy tool.

Hmm, maybe it's just on my instance, or maybe the app I'm using... 🤷‍♂️ (Slrpnk.net and Summit, respectively)

This was enjoyable to browse through, and great job on the formatting too. Thanks for posting!

(The preview picture for that zine seems to be broken btw)

I would like to know if there's any (automatic) ways of translating the instances which are not my native language (English). I think many of them would be well worth participating in, or at least being able to lightly skim over.

I know many get annoyed by them, and end up filtering/blocking. I don't find myself annoyed by them or anything like that, I just feel like I'm missing out a bit. I think if there was an easier and more inclusive way to join in with these communities it would be a great benefit to the fediverse.

-I currently have 240 subscriptions.

When making a new post, I often can't remember right away which community it would be most relevant to. Sometimes it's pretty obvious, but other times I have to scroll through the list and find the one I'm looking for or one that might be a good fit.

Now, I know that there are specific communities like !community_community@slrpnk.net that is for this purpose as well, but I was wondering if it would be useful to have a simple automated solution sort of like how github searches for issues to see if your question (post) has already been asked.

I'd be curious to know other's thoughts on the matter and if you think something like this could be a helpful addition or not.

I'm still learning the quirks of federation and the behaviors of communities hosted on different instances, so I apologize if this is something that's been asked repeatedly.

I made a post to a community I am subscribed to at lemmy.ca, from my home instance at slrpnk.net. Public posts on that community (as well as the post that I made) are not showing up from my home instance. My profile page on my home instance does not show any record of the post that I made.

I was only able to find existence of the post that I made by going to lemmy.ca, and then finding the community that I posted to from there.

Is that something people would even need/want here?

I'm wondering if you have any favorite fediverse resources for dog owners? Breed questions, training techniques, product recommendations, etc.

I think that would make a great community if there isn't one already. I've only run across #dogsofmastodon so far, but that is really more for just pictures I think.

It's been difficult to broach the subject and explain the technical concepts to the average person. I did have some success in first sharing the email comparison, which lead into interoperability.

I'm just curious to hear people's success stories, if you have any.

My options for internet connectivity are very limited. I was wondering if I could go to a library or coffee shop or wherever has a good connection and do all my downloading remotely, or if I will run into problems/restrictions.

I'm thinking they may not allow VPN's or something like that?

Fuck Ubisoft. (slrpnk.net)

I was pretty hyped for the new prince of persia game (the lost crown), but come to find out it's only available on ubisoft's proprietary launcher or epic games. Nope, and nope.

I just want to have it available on my usual storefront, Steam, but it's been decidedly omitted. As a long time fan of the old games, this kind of hurts. Especially since many of the others -are- available on Steam.

I wonder if/when it will come out for Steam. These platform exclusivity deals need to die.

Edit: It's also available on several consoles, my post was just from a pc gamer's perspective.
