More natural even than Twitter or Reddit
I get twitter, but why reddit?
I really enjoy using lemmy, and couldn't see a more natural fit for federation. I've never been much of a blogger though, so maybe I'm missing something?
As someone who never used tumbler, why did you like it and what benefits does it have?
Oh, so like 'I'm experiencing a bug on my side of things' or something like that. I get what you are saying now, I think.
I was pretty confused. Lol
I've never heard of that form of the expression.
Maybe something similar to do with 'beating a dead horse'
the problem/issue was (potentially) already discussed, and renewing the issue is tiresome for the regulars who see it repetitively brought up? This is just my guess.
You mean 'thorn in my side'
You are too impatient. We have this wonderful new thing, that's just in the very beginning stages, with such incredible potential.
I'm so excited to be here, and other places on the fediverse, and being able to experience this great paradigm shift is pretty special to me even with the current drawbacks/shortcomings that it comes with.
I definitely recognize some of the mods, and some of the key players in the communities that I follow. There's good people here, and I believe it's going to keep getting better.
I wasn't paying attention to usernames as much when I first started. For whatever reason, I've started to pay attention to the names, as well as the instances. I like seeing where people are commenting from, and it even gives some insight into places or things I might be interested in as well.
Sometimes I'll check out a person's profile to see what things they're commenting on. This feels kind of creepy a little bit. I don't think anyone really cares though, so long as you're not being abusive or something.
I gotta say, interactive social bookreading does sound like it could be kinda neat.
