GOG games are DRM free and do not need to be cracked. They're freely shareable as-is.
The question is whether the crossplay works between the Steam and GOG versions, and a quick Google shows that the answer is yes.
I'm more surprised that a for-profit company is willing to use a technology that is able to randomly spew out unwanted content, incorrect information, or just straight gibberish, in any kind of public facing capacity.

What's really crazy about lopsided plans like that 1Gbps/30Mbps is that a lot of the time you straight up can't use that 1 gig down because your pitiful upstream gets completely saturated just trying to keep up with the ACKs you need to send back to confirm receipt of packets. More then 30Mbps upstream is literally a requirement if you want to utilise 1Gbps of downstream over TCP.
The purpose of debate isn't necessarily to convince the person your debating against. It also helps sway others who might be party to the discussion. Just because I have a line in the sand re: turning over control of my computer doesn't mean I can't debate that point and offer my own reasons for taking that position, while someone contrary to that can explain theirs. Neither participant in the debate needs to budge in their position, but by both offering their reasoning it may be useful in persuading others to one of their sides.
