I use Debian 13 with KDE. I have a JMP.chat number and I use Cheogram on Android for this, works wonderfully. However, on Linux, I've tried different clients, Dino-IM, Gajim, etc. But all of them have their own quirks. Dino-IM seems to work the best for me, though, I was never able to get an phone ringing notification from a incoming call. That was a real downside for me. If anyone knows a way to set it up correctly, or what client I should use, please feel free to post below.

Hello, I’ve recently discovered self hosting and I really want to get into it. I’m not going to fully deep dive now, but I at least want to know the basics before I start my own journey. So today I came to ask if anybody has a roadmap or recommends a path for me to get into self hosting.

As far as Linux goes, I’m currently on Mint but only know how to update and switch/list directories. I do not know docker but understand the basics of it. This also goes for tailscale.

I know what a NAS is and how it works and the different Raids and when to use which one. I know what I want to self host but I am not sure if I want to use docker or proxmox. I’m also don’t understand the proxmox and how it works. Any information or tutorial would be highly appreciated. Thanks you

I am running grapheneos and got nc from fdroid if it matters. I also use nc on my local network only.

So I could not find logs that pointed to any specific file giving the errors. Still I took the advice that it might have to do with file names. That made me suspect it had to do with my music folder which has some foreign music, so i renamed files with a special character. So far it seems that was it. This was odd because those files have been there and synced for a while, but the message was not happening until recently. Still wanted to update in case someone else has this issue there is some resolution that might be helpful.

But they're offset by a mature story, a deep tactical system, and an epic gameplay experience that can keep you entertained for weeks. And as someone discovering the game for the first time, I can say that with this reissue, Square Enix has not only satisfied fans but also a new generation of players.

Final Fantasy Tactics remains a classic and a must-play for any fans of strategy RPGs or the Final Fantasy franchise.

The story for FF Tactics remained entertaining throughout. As a first-time player, it zigged when I thought it would zag and I will always appreciate when stories in RPGs like this can feel somewhat grounded with a focus on politics, inter-personal relationships and plenty of time for the characters to sit and reflect on the events in-game. Yes, there are still plenty of crystals, magic and other FF staples but Tactics feels like a cut above most other JRPG stories and is now one of my favorites in the Final Fantasy series.

Projets à l'arrêt, mauvaise réputation, manque de liquidités... Le milliardaire proche de l'extrême droite traverse une passe difficile en politique, mais aussi dans ses affaires.

La villa de douze chambres, située dans une commune huppée du littoral basque, a été mise en vente. Pierre-Edouard Stérin aura à peine profité de cette large bâtisse rouge et blanche avec vue sur mer achetée en 2023. L'homme d'affaires, proche de l'extrême droite, exilé fiscal en Belgique depuis 2012, projetait pourtant d'en faire un point d'ancrage familial. Mais la fuite de son nom dans la presse locale l'a décidé à se séparer de cette demeure d'exception. Depuis qu'il ne cache plus sa volonté de peser sur la présidentielle de 2027 et d'y imposer ses obsessions, catholiques et identitaires, son nom est sulfureux. « Résultat, des tags et des collages ont été réalisés, peste Pierre-Edouard Stérin. Vous pensez que j'ai envie de conserver à long terme une maison dont les militants radicaux de la gauche et de l'extrême gauche ont l'adresse ? » Il devrait s'y retrouver : achetée aux enchères « seulement » 6 millions d'euros il y a deux ans, la villa est à vendre 15 900 000 euros. La mésaventure illustre la mauvaise passe qui touche les activités de Stérin. Il semble loin le temps où le patron de Smartbox (ces coffrets-cadeaux pour des week-ends ou des activités sportives) évoluait en toute discrétion, organisant dans le plus grand secret des entretiens avec des politiques - de Bruno Retailleau à Marion Maréchal - afin de trouver le candidat idéal pour promouvoir son agenda. Depuis que « l'Humanité » a révélé, à l'été 2024, le contenu de son projet Périclès, prévoyant d'investir 150 millions d'euros en dix ans dans des projets politiques, médiatiques et culturels, sa fortune est l'objet de tous les fantasmes. Et Stérin fait figure de « saint patron des réacs », comme le montrait « le Nouvel Obs » en février lors d'une enquête sur ses très opaques investissements politiques et associatifs. Désormais, chaque initiative soutenue par le milliardaire provoque son lot de polémiques. Voire, dans plusieurs villes, l'arrêt de projets en cours. Le lancement, ce mois de septembre, de son internat catholique pour garçons en Sologne a été entaché par une lettre ouverte d'élus et de syndicalistes de gauche, inquiets des risques d'endoctrinement. Le spectacle historique « Murmures de la cité », à Moulins, a fait l'objet de vives critiques de la part d'historiens et d'enseignants, qui dénoncent une instrumentalisation du passé. Cet été, l'inoffensif label « Les plus belles fêtes de France », accordé à des dizaines de manifestations populaires, a provoqué une multitude d'articles dans la presse régionale, après la révélation de ses liens avec Stérin. Impossible, pour les organisateurs de la foire aux champignons de Saint-Bonnet-le-Froid, le carnaval de Granville ou la fête du piment d'Espelette d'être associés à cet homme d'affaires anti-IVG, anti-mariage pour tous et qui assume vouloir contribuer à la naissance de « plus de bébés de souche européenne ». Image sulfureuse « Chaque truc qu'il touche se casse la gueule », souffle un ex-compagnon de route. Récemment, Stérin a congédié sans ménagement Philippe de Gestas, l'ancien secrétaire général du Mouvement conservateur, petit parti lié à Eric Zemmour, jusqu'ici conseil pour les activités de Périclès. Le milliardaire l'accusait de n'avoir pas obtenu assez de résultats (les fameux « TRI », ou taux de rendement interne, dans son langage d'entrepreneur). Sa structure philanthropique, le Fonds du Bien commun, est aussi touchée par un net ralentissement. Plusieurs associations ont renoncé à lui présenter un projet, de peur qu'un tel soutien ne leur fasse perdre, comme à d'autres, des financements.

L'image de l'homme s'est aussi dégradée, y compris au sein des milieux de droite, depuis qu'il a séché, le 14 mai, son audition par la commission d'enquête de l'Assemblée nationale sur l'organisation des élections, devant laquelle il avait été convoqué pour s'expliquer sur ses intentions politiques. Une enquête judiciaire a été ouverte, ce refus de comparaître étant passible de deux ans d'emprisonnement et de 7 500 euros d'amende. Celui qui prête volontiers son argent au Rassemblement national (RN) est aussi au coeur d'une autre enquête, sur le financement illégal de candidats lepénistes, a révélé « le Monde » en juillet. Une image sulfureuse volontiers entretenue par Stérin, comme lorsqu'il baptise sa holding de tête « Holding Lemahieu », du nom d'un journaliste de « l'Humanité » auteur de nombreuses enquêtes à son sujet. Valorisations « gonflées » ? Même ses affaires, en apparence florissantes, éveillent les soupçons. Car quand il ne s'amuse pas avec la politique, cet amoureux des chiffres et des notes se consacre à ce qu'il fait le mieux : trouver des idées pour gagner de l'argent. Des opérations réalisées le plus souvent à travers Otium Capital, son fonds d'investissement, officiellement valorisé 1,7 milliard d'euros. C'est là que l'entrepreneur place les profits dégagés par la société Smartbox et investit ses bénéfices dans une myriade d'autres entreprises ou start-up en cours de développement. Cette structure familiale, sans investisseurs extérieurs, affiche un taux de croissance insolent. « On fait 25 % de TRI. En 2022, Otium était valorisé 900 millions d'euros, aujourd'hui 1,7 milliard », assure avec fierté François Durvye, directeur général d'Otium et bras droit de Stérin. Une croissance très supérieure à la moyenne du secteur. Mais plusieurs sources évoquent, en interne, une pression forte de Durvye pour « gonfler » les valorisations des entreprises. Des accusations que dément catégoriquement la direction d'Otium, qui met en avant la validation de sa situation financière, deux fois par an, par une agence de notation indépendante. Son DG, devenu par ailleurs un des principaux conseillers économiques de Jordan Bardella et de Marine Le Pen, tire bien son épingle du jeu financier : le chiffre d'affaires de sa société personnelle, sur laquelle est versé son salaire d'Otium, s'élève à 1,4 million d'euros entre 2023 et 2024.

Otium traverse pourtant une crise de liquidités. « Effectivement, on a moins de cash disponible qu'à d'autres moments », reconnaît François Durvye. Il confirme que la société compte environ 400 millions d'euros de dette, mais insiste : ce type de fonds investit le moindre euro disponible. La situation est-elle fragile ? Un pourcentage important de la valeur d'Otium dépend de la valeur estimée de Smartbox. Problème : le modèle économique de l'entreprise, qui repose en partie sur le fait que les coffrets-cadeaux ne soient pas utilisés, est fragile, de moins en moins rentable, et les tentatives de cession ont toutes échoué. Rétropédalages De quoi laisser suspecter une crise plus profonde, redoutent certains partenaires et prestataires de Stérin. D'autant qu'Otium a aussi rétropédalé sur plusieurs projets, pourtant très avancés. C'était le cas en avril 2025, lors du rachat avorté de l'équipementier automobile GMD. Alors que l'opération était sur le point d'aboutir après un an de discussions, le financier s'est retiré sans explications la veille d'une signature importante, selon les syndicats et l'ex-propriétaire du groupe. « Le vendeur nous a menti. Nous avions un contrat d'exclusivité et il a décidé de faire entrer dans la boucle un investisseur chinois », conteste Pierre-Edouard Stérin. Plus récemment encore, ses équipes ont mené de longues négociations pour racheter le média en ligne Neo, dans lequel il possède une part minoritaire. Avant de se retirer, là aussi, au dernier moment. « La valeur proposée pour augmenter notre part au capital nous a semblé surévaluée », balaie Stérin.

Est-ce par manque de liquidités qu'il semble vouloir vendre le Biarritz Olympique ? Cet été, ce joueur de padel est devenu, à la surprise générale, propriétaire de ce club de rugby mythique, dans lequel il possédait déjà des parts et dont il ignorait jusqu'à la division. Une présence dénoncée par certains supporters : le déploiement, en mars, de deux banderoles contre le fascisme dans les tribunes n'est pas passé inaperçu. « Pierre-Edouard Stérin n'a pas vocation à rester indéfiniment propriétaire du BO », nous confirme Cyril Arrosteguy, président du directoire, qui précise que Stérin aurait déjà ouvert des négociations pour chercher des capitaux ou vendre ses parts pour 3,5 millions d'euros. Interrogé, « PES » dément fermement toute volonté de vendre, en contradiction avec le président du club. Mais selon le journal en ligne L'Informé, l'homme d'affaires envisagerait aussi de céder le contrôle d'Hadrena, qui compte 150 centres de loisirs en Europe et aux Etats-Unis, dont Fort Boyard Adventures ou Speedpark. Récemment, plusieurs partenaires de Pierre-Edouard Stérin lui ont confié leur malaise face à la publicité qui entoure ses engagements. « Le mélange des genres, politique et business, ça ne fonctionne pas », lui a glissé un interlocuteur régulier. Des critiques balayées par l'intéressé : « Je ne regrette rien, et je vais accélérer tout ce que j'ai lancé, car il faut savoir qui on est, et ce que l'on veut »,nous lance-t-il, bravache. Quitte à y laisser quelques plumes.
