They haven't worked since all becoming for profit, rather than for... dating. Turns out setting people up should really be charity work, not for profit.

[–] BedSharkPal@lemmy.ca 32 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Maybe there should be a fediverse dating app?

[–] Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world 50 points 2 months ago (3 children)

Ah yes. A userbase of 45 global users, all of whom are argueing over linux distros, and none of them will speak one word when a woman walks into the room.

I'm prepared to use Windows 11 if it'll get me laid.

[–] AA5B@lemmy.world 5 points 2 months ago (1 children)

If that’s the criteria, those of us who cover many operating systems will be in high demand. Hot girls in my area want to see my home lab

Good thing I got married before revealing just how mono-OS I am, don't even have much Linux distro variety, everything is openSUSE.

[–] Krompus@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Not worth it. Stay on Linux and get a Fleshlight.

Hey, you can try out FreeBSD, maybe you'll find a cute little beastie.

Perhaps some sort of digital federated glory hole could work?

[–] nandeEbisu@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Be very careful wheb defederating

[–] InnerScientist@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

To shreds you say?

[–] IcyToes@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 months ago

But maybe could be a good place for furry dating.

[–] AFC1886VCC@reddthat.com 13 points 2 months ago (2 children)

I'm pretty sure there is a FOSS dating app, but I can't remember the name of it.

I doubt it has a half decent userbase though.

[–] SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world 38 points 2 months ago (2 children)

There's a thousand nerds, two furries and a woman.

[–] eating3645@lemmy.world 41 points 2 months ago (4 children)

I feel like you're vastly underestimating the number of flurries on the fediverse.

[–] eager_eagle@lemmy.world 10 points 2 months ago

maybe furry nerds were only counted as nerds

[–] SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world 6 points 2 months ago

I don't know I assumed there were twice as many furries as women.

[–] SkaveRat@discuss.tchncs.de 4 points 2 months ago

Furries just use barq instead

Not even the fediverse, I have a furry coworker, and they have a whole community thing going on. They do exist in real life, not just the weird corners of the fediverse.

The real question is if the furry wants you.

[–] Naz@sh.itjust.works 3 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Maybe the real furries are the internet strangers we met along the way.

[–] Dremor@lemmy.world 20 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Alovoa is the name.

Bots everywhere, randomly breaks every other week, accounts may of may not vanish if you looks at the logo the wrong way...

Got a match, conversation was going well, got ghosted. Still no idea why 😅.

[–] AA5B@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

Ok, zero matches within 100km, and I live just outside a major US city. Of course I’m probably not the typical age …. But it must be those pesky metric units, they mean nothing here

[–] QualifiedKitten@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

Well shit. I just wrote up a long ass comment about why it probably sucks, but then decided I might as well try it out first. I created an account, but it won't let me log in. I enter my email and password, then it makes me do a captcha, then it just says, "An error occured. Please try again." I've tried multiple times and I guess I give up now.
