I bet this dumb fuck pays for a terrorist attack to happen, so he can delcare marshal law. Then he gets unlimited powers, and won't leave the white house. I'm absolutely sure of it. It's ww2 all over again.

this dumb fuck pays for a terrorist attack to happen

bold of you to assume he's actually going to pay for anything

Just because this is a common enough mistake, I'm going to publicly correct you for the benefit of other people who might see this comment. I apologize.

It's Martial Law. Not Marshall Law.

Martial Law and Marital Law is the one that always gets me.

There's a joke in there about strict curfews and domineering personalities, but I can't be bothered to flesh it out.

[–] umbraroze@lemmy.world 2 points 4 days ago

No, that's martial arts. Martial law involves less improvisation and adaptability. However, it loses to martial science.

Everyone knows it is Martian Law

[–] gadfly1999@lemm.ee 1 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago)

Now that explains Musk’s obsession with getting to Mars.

Then the few people who don't are very prolific commenters because it's a mistake I see often.

Spread the word!

[–] aeternum@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 5 days ago

oh man, I knew that. I dunno why i said marshal law lol. Mustn't have been paying enough attention.

I've heard WWIV is expected to be pretty lame in comparison. Something about shitty weapons in the future. So we're really lucky to get to enjoy this one.

I'm kinda looking forward to that one. No more overpowered one-hit bullshit.

Has anyone asked Marshal for a statement?

[–] MuskyMelon@lemmy.world 3 points 5 days ago

At the rate of aircraft accidents, it's only a matter of a few weeks before a plane or helicopter crashes into a govt building or installation.
