Kid should have told the mother that he was studying to be a vet. I know a fella who works three months a year (during the breeding season), and for each little slice he makes in a doe, he nets somewhere between $300-$1000. A single rich rancher can have dozens or hundreds of deer that they want to selectively breed to get bigger, more 'prize-worthy' bucks that can fetch a high hunting fee for folks willing to pay for it. All the feller has to do is the last step of the IVF, not even the semen collection bit, so he shows up, works for about a week at each ranch, and moves on.
It's mind boggling how much money he brings in.
Why even do it if you don't get to collect the semen?
