Eyes Up's purpose is to "preserve evidence until it can be used in court." But it has been swept up in Apple's attack on ICE-spotting apps.

Our law- rightly- operates on the basis or natural rights. Endowed by their creator, and inalienable. Do you know what that means? It means rights aren't something given to you by the constitution, you are born with them just for being a person, and they cannot be taken away. If we have a right to fair trial, so does everyone who ever lived, whether they got them is just a matter of how oppressive their governments were. Illegal immigrants are people and thus have natural rights.

You don’t have a right to a “fair trial” for not being able to prove you’re a citizen or have a valid visa to be in the country though lol. This doesn’t need a trial because there’s nothing to argue, nothing in question. Citizenship records exist. Visa records exist.

That doesn't even make sense. A trial is where you'd find out whether or not you'd be able to prove it. Are you suggesting weresupposed to not assume innocence if they don't have an idea in them at the time of detainment, because that's a right too

You know that police can check citizenship on these things called computers, right? When the police ask if you have a drivers license, they already know if you have one or not, and even if it’s expired.

You don’t need a trial to prove you’re a citizen - you just need to actually be a citizen. Do you think people go to trial to prove that they have a drivers license? Lol

They don't punish you for driving without a license before a trial though. You still have to be found guilty, and they have a right to that process

Yes they do lol. They give you a ticket on the spot. If you don’t have a license, which they can tell simply by looking up your details, you are guilty. It’s the same with citizenship/immigration status - it’s not a subjective thing, or something that can be argued in court.

You don’t go to trial for being caught driving without a license lol

Well that should change too
