Mt two favorite fun facts are geography facts.

  1. If you start in Detroit and head south the first foreign country you will hit is Canada

  2. The pacific entrance of the Panama Canal is east of the atlantic entrance.

I think its interesting how north Europe is compared to North America. Stockholm, Sweden is on the same level as Alaska. The Canadian/US border is roughly level with Paris.

If you start in Detroit

Looks like the west side of Detroit doesn't hit Canada to the south. Just from eyeballing it I think you'd hit Cuba first.
