They're probably studying it to figure out how to more successfully lock their hardware down as the only things capable of playing new games.

For now, at least yuzu has found a fork in suyu https://git.suyu.dev/suyu/suyu

The are several iirc, I don't think contributors have consolidated onto a single fork yet.
