[–] breadsmasher@lemmy.world 21 points 1 day ago

We already have an "everything app". It's called the browser.

[–] jol@discuss.tchncs.de 8 points 1 day ago

No good. Too open and free. We want you trapped in a walled garden.

I can't wait for this to crash and burn.

[–] SlopppyEngineer@lemmy.world 52 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Hold phone horizontally, extend and point arm 20° to the right and 45° above the horizon to unlock the app.

[–] kambusha@sh.itjust.works 8 points 1 day ago

And utter the unlock phrase: "xig aisle"

Absolute jokes if Nazi Musk uses his position in the president's ear to force you lot to pay for government services using Twitter. 🤣🤣😂

I struggle to think of something I'd rather do less than entrust Musk with my money.

Gargling sulphuric acid, perhaps.

If someone tries to send me money with X Pay or whatever, it will at least be a easy sign I should cut all ties with them

[–] shoulderoforion@fedia.io 18 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Anyone still using any Elon Musk product deserves to be taken for everything they have, and I will laugh as they burn (yes I'm including you SpaceX and Tesla nerds). We don't support fascists in this house.

[–] Ilovethebomb@lemm.ee 7 points 1 day ago

SpaceX is the one I feel bummed out about, because they've legitimately achieved some amazing things over the years. Tesla as well in the early days, although they're losing their lead a bit.

My cards work just fine Mr. Nazi. I'll stick with those thanks.

Do Russian bots pay for things?

[–] phdepressed@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 day ago

Gotta launder that money somehow. From Russia to Musk to Saudi and back to Russia. Similar for China. Continue winning the information and propaganda war never have to deal with the sleeping beast that was America ever again.

[–] Atelopus-zeteki@fedia.io 8 points 1 day ago

LoL, no. Next.

[–] CaptainBasculin@lemmy.ml 5 points 1 day ago

In its state Telegram is more of an everything app.

[–] PrivacyDingus@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago (1 children)

i wonder how this app will mainstream right-wing ideology into its userbase

[–] CMLVI@lemmy.world 12 points 1 day ago

Places that don't take it are now considered woke or DEI fronts.

[–] bokherif@lemmy.world 1 points 23 hours ago

WeChat much?

[–] SuiXi3D@fedia.io 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

It’ll fail simply because I can just double tap a hardware button to use Apple Pay and there’s NO way Apple will allow X to do that on iPhone. Android is another story altogether.

[–] 2xsaiko@discuss.tchncs.de 2 points 21 hours ago

iOS does seem to at least allow you to change the contactless payment app now. Probably that's an EU-only feature though.
