Ah this is terrible.

The bee population is already struggling, and there's no way this one survived after getting stuck in dude's throat.

Mad props to Comrade Bee, she gave her life for the people. She will live on in our memories, deepest sympathy and condolences to her hive for their loss.

My billionaire stepped on a bee

[–] bdonvr@thelemmy.club 173 points 2 days ago (1 children)

RIP bee. Your sacrifice will not be forgotten.

[–] Blackmist@feddit.uk 87 points 2 days ago (6 children)

It's too soon for distasteful comments like this.

There's no evidence the bee died. Many species can sting more than once. Hopefully the bee can go on to sting many more allergic billionaires.

I feel bad for the bee.

But holy shit! If this doesn't make you want to save the bees than nothing will.

I dub this bee the Buzz Bomber!

Oh no! Anyway...

[–] Lucelu2@lemmy.zip 18 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

I was stung once by a bee when I was a kid and my mother threw mud on it. While the mud dried, it drew out the stinger.

anyhow, mad props to bees. They are heroes more ways than one. I actually find this quite inspirational. No matter how small and insignificant you may feel you are, small acts can still have big consequences.
