My goal is just to have a community where people can go and see what new game news is out for the day and comment on it.

What country do you live in, if you don't mind me asking? One of those two consoles is just about ubiquitous among people who play video games in the US.
Almost everyone I know who had a PS4, now has a PS5. One guy even got one after only doing Nintendo prior.

If they did built-in backward compatibility I would be more likely to buy. My last PS console was a fat PS3 that would still play my PS2 games.
The PS5 is backwards compatible with PS4 games.
Their rev (revenue) on digital sales, add-on-content, digital-downloads are at all time highs… And yet their margins are at decade-lows. This is just not acceptable
It is unacceptable to not squeeze every last bit of money from everyone!
Quick! Release more endless rehashes of the same tired old franchises!
Best I can do is a mediocre interactive movie with bad gameplay that we will pay people to shill on Reddit for a few months and then completely forgot
