Vance is blocked more than Trump? I couldn't have imagined that.

And it seems odd to presume he would be since he didn't return to Twitter presumably so Truth Social is differentiated by having access to his posts as a way to increase usage

Why is Vance on bluesky? It's where all the people he hates hang out.

I strongly suspect that Vance doesn't really hate (or love for that matter) anyone. Vance cares about Vance, and will say and do whatever makes life better for Vance in the short term.

And lots of tech-oligarchs that pay to make Vance's life better are on Bluesky.

That's what, 0.6% of their users? A lot, but not as many as it would seem

I’d say it’s exponential growth for how many users are super active. Like maybe only 5% of users even know about this new thing. And then 1% even care to use the block feature.

I only use bluesky since some people I used to follow on the birdsite are on there, I don't know if the mastodon instance I'm on is federated with bluesky or not, I don't really use it that often anyway. But I logged on just to block attie and drive up those metrics

doesn't really make that much sense to look at the registered user total because most of them have already moved on but sure, it's like 2.5% if you compare to the 5 million that have been active within the last month.

[–] mushroommunk@lemmy.today 2 points 2 months ago

The active users is probably a better metric you're right

Bluesky leadership: slightly worse than JD Vance. It must not have been easy for them to reach that, but what an achievement.

Good that it's decentralized and people can just move on to another provider, since this one is doing this, haha, right?
